2nd Feb '08(part 2)

Went back to cove and we did sauna and steam bath on the roof terrace. Really enjoying life at this point of time. I guess this had to be the best weekend ever since I’m back from Sydney. I began to wonder, how often can we have this kind of gathering? Anyway, we washed up and left the place for vivo at around 5+ to do some grocery shopping. Have been to vivo a few times but I still can’t get my bearings right. Met up with Gilbert, Miko, Dave, Edina and Zhida as Alex treated us all to dinner at Bosses. They serve some great food there, at a high price too. The dinner was pretty long as the dishes came out quite slowly, by the time we finish it’s 9+ already. Mom and Dad came to pick me up as they were here to deliver laksa for all of us. Gave them a tour of the cove house and haha I think they were quite amazed. Told them I will work hard for a big house and a good life though.

Mark, Liying and Weiqi arrived soon, and joined the rest in the karaoke session. Time flies when we are having fun. In a blink of an eye it was 4am already. The rest except dan alex sw mark and me turned in. We went to the Jacuzzi to chill and talk, with wine of coz haha. We chatted till about 6am when all decided it’s time to sleep. I only slept at 7 coz still have to wait for my hair to dry -_-. Didn’t really feel like sleeping though, I don’t want such a perfect day to end so quickly…

2nd Feb '08 (Part 1)

Was still in my sleep when I heard Alex and Shiwei trying to prevent Daniel from leaving the house. Apparently Daniel had to go school for some stuff and the duo were against him doing so. They failed anyway and came to wake me up shortly after that. It was 11+ in the morning and damn it felt so good. Sleeping in a queen size bed, having the sea just in front of you when you wake up. That is life. It has been a very long time since I last felt so relaxed.

When we went down to the living room, we were quite surprised to see the place clean and tidy, only to know that Alex’s maids were here to clean up in the morning. It was then Alex’s mom showed us the karaoke system in the living room, which left Shiwei and I awestruck. It’s just like KBOX CAN YOU BELIEVE IT??? Ok I know some people may have it or may have known that it existed but to us, it was like WTF KBOX IN THE HOUSE??? And guess what? It costs only S$400 for the system. It contains tens of thousands of songs and you can upload more into the system itself. Shiwei and I already have thoughts of buying it, hopefully Alex ‘s family can help us buy!

Feeling a little hungry, we went to One Degree 15 in Sentosa Cove. According to Alex this is a private club, and he treated us to Dim Sum at Imperial Treasure. The place really has a class of its own. Just by looking at the cars in the car park, one would know that only the rich patronizes this place. I happened to see my favourite car, the Ferrari 599 GTB. Funny thing is that bert and dave said this place required a proper dress code. However earlier on Alex’s mom insisted that we can go in slippers and shorts. Trusting auntie’s words, we all went in shorts and slippers. Voila! Myth busted. Imperial treasure do not have any dress code lol! Piak Piak slippers rules. I had to give credit to the toilets in One Degree 15 as well, very nice toilets they have, certainly comparable to hotel standards.

Went back to cove and we tried out the karaoke system again. Damn it’s freaking addictive I must say. Daniel came back soon after and we decided to do a little swimming. The four of us took Daniel’s car and went to another house of Alex’s, located on Coral Island, which was his 21st birthday present btw. -_-. Quite expensive present I thought. I don’t even have any present from my parents for my 21st. =( The house doesn’t have any furniture in it yet, but we took a dip in the infiniti pool nonetheless. Although this house does not have a sea view, it has a berth for those who owns yachts, jet skis etc. My god….this is really a playground for the rich, the freaking rich I reckon. Felt a lil off when they asked again if she’s coming. Didn’t want to really think about that but I guess they were concerned. Sorry if I looked pissed or something.

1st Feb ‘08

Finally it’s Friday again. Went to work with much enthusiasm, knowing that it’s the last working day of the week Time seem to pass fairly quickly today. Come 1730 hours it’s time to knock off, and I left for Orchard to shop for Helene’s present. Afterwhich, met up with Yusheng and we went to his house to pick up his car, heading to Helene’s place shortly after that. It was a nice house, not the typical type of landed property as it was built on a slope rather than on a level ground. There was plenty of food, and got the chance to catch up with Levina, Jonathan and Vanessa. Levina seemed to have slim down a lot, damn I need to do the same too! Kind Yusheng offered me a ride back before sending his gf back. Having a car is so convenient. =(

Was using msn when the marist cousins jio-ed me over to sentosa cove to join them. Was rather reluctant at first coz it was late and the only way there is by cab. But I thought I should treasure and use my time in Singapore to its fullest. Almost immediately I started packing my stuff to last me for the weekend, and took a cab down to sentosa cove which cost a hefty $30+…Daniel was damn kind to pay for my cab fee, thanks bro! Finally got to meet up again with Shiwei (who was out of sg for almost a month of holidays) and Alex (came back from Ireland for a week of holiday). Damn it just feels good seeing your closest clique of friends. A solid place like sentosa cove only made things better.

We played mahjong (facing the sea fyi lol), had red wine (damn bloody good red wine) and chit chatted away. We felt a little hungry later but couldn’t drive out to eat coz of the alcohol. So we decided to have cup noodles, with something extra. Ah Yat abalone. LOL. According to Alex, one can cost around 1200HKD, which is around S$240. It is not sold in Singapore, and had to be bought from HK through the Ah Yat restaurant I think. There were 8 abalones in one can, so each of us ate 2! Muahahaha. Chit-chatted till about 5+am when all decided to hit the sack. Each of us was given a room by Alex and I will let the pictures do the talking.

30 Jan ‘08

Eat at home day.. finally. Haven’t eaten at home since last Wednesday. Guess I could use some rest given that I’m having like a maximum of 5 hours of sleep every night. Was lazing in front of the computer when I thought I should exercise, coz the rest of the week I doubt I will have time for it.

Decided to go for a swim, and swam for around 35 minutes. While swimming I realize one cant really feel the fatigue until you stop and start to breathe normally. Felt quite shagged after I stopped and took a rest. It’s nice swimming at night, love it totally. You have the whole pool to yourself, with no silly kids diving in from all corners of it. Went to try out the new steam bath and damn it felt like a big cooking pot trying to steam a live chicken. Do all steam baths feel that hot? I checked but it was only 46 degrees if I’m not wrong. But it was so hot that my skin turned red. There was this fellow who came in after me and was obviously stunned by the heat. After which I decided to use the Jacuzzi outside which was again too hot I felt. Zzz…Nevermind, had a great work out anyway. Time well spent!

29 Jan ‘08

Dozing off seems to be part of my work now. I had almost nothing to do for the whole day, had to pretend that I’m doing work on excel -_-. Met up with uni friends after work (Yusheng, Kai Chung, Teddy, Ian, Novi, Lydia). Bah only Yusheng and Kai Chung were early, Ian was late coz of work so it’s understandable. The indos say they were following indo time -_- lol. Anway we went to NYDC for dinner and I realize their portion seemed to have decreased even though the price went the opposite way. Donna joined us for a while and she gave me my belated birthday gift. A white long sleeve shirt with plain designs from zara. Perfect fit, and it’s very nice I think. Thanks Donna!

Yusheng and friend went to join his friends for supper, and the rest of us decided to catch a movie at Lido. Novi left quite suddenly coz I think her dad called to check on her. Haha poor gal. We were pondering between the movie ‘The House’, which is a horror thai movie and ‘Rambo 4’. Due to Kc’s fear of horror shows (muahahahaahaaa), we decided to catch Rambo 4. It’s not that bad, but not that good either. Lotsa body-being-smashed-up scenes, quite mild if you compare it to hostel. Stallone should really take a break. Who knows he may come up with Rambo 5, or Rocky returns in 10 years time.

Monday blues omg….so freaking bored at work that I fail to keep myself awake. I wonder if any colleagues see me dozing off. I’m quite sure a few of them saw. Anyway, met up with Marcus and Terrence for Kbox dinner buffet, from 6-10pm. The food wasn’t that bad, but it wasn’t that good either. But it’s $28, with 4 hours of singing so still not that bad la I thought. Everyone was singing their feelings out in one way or another I thought. The DTM brothers are all singles now. Quite a rare sight considering Marcus’ almost ‘always in a relationship’ status.

27 Jan ‘08

Another stay home day for me. Slept and slacked pretty much the morning and afternoon away, come evening time had it was preparation for Khloe’s birthday party. It was held at the function room and one of the bbq pits. I was like BBQ I/C of the day, set up the fire and pretty much cooked everything with the help of my bro. That’s pretty much my weekend, even closer to Sydney now. Sighz…

Woke up at like 1+pm today...ultimate shiokness. How I wish I can wake up this late every single day. Lazed around and later went to bedok interchange hawker centre to meet Marcus for lunch, and also to take my jeans that I left in his car. After that went Sheng Siong with Mom to buy stuff for tomorrow's bbq.

Today's dad birthday, so we went Sze Chuan court at Swissotel for dinner, together with Khloe's family.

Went home after dinner, and started watching the variety shows on my computer. Till about 5am, I decided it's about time to hit the sack. Good night all~ Good night to you.

Anyway, met up with Marcus and Terrence again. OMG it's like an exact repeat of last week. I reached Wisma at like 545pm? Haha...so I went looking for my CNY clothing. 1st stop Espirit Wisma and guess what, I saw the black jeans that I've been looking for. Went to try and tada perfect fit. It was $89.90 which I thought was quite alright for a pair of jeans. Took a picture of the jeans, not that it can be seen clearly from the picture itself though. Tried the black sleeveless vest, very nice but too bad theres no M-size left. The L-size I tried was too big and baggy. =(

Feeling a little 'cam-whore' during the last picture. I gotta do something to occupy myself while waiting for the bros to come. I think I don't look that fat in the last picture. But it's not the truth tho MUAHAHAHAHA! Ok I think I'm abit siao. -_-''' Was trying to recommend some clothes and jeans to Terrence and he goes like

Not like I'm trying to force him to change his dress style, but I think there's a need for him to wear something nicer. It's true that you should wear something that's comfortable, but you need something nice too! Aiya this brother here...has to change quite a few stuff man. Marcus thinks likewise too. Sometimes he may say the wrong stuff without meaning it or be too loud, or vocal in his thoughts. And the way he eat, must really improve. Not easy to change him though, coz he's as stubborn as a scorpio LOL. Well we will try our best tho haha~

We went for movies at Marina Square, since I have 2 free tickets which I just can't seem to use for another person. Anyways...we caught The Mist, and I must say the show is really good. A 4/5 for it. Thrilling and engaging throughout the whole show, with a freaking twist that still appears in my mind every now and then. Highly recommended. That pretty sums up my friday. Pretty satisfactory though, other than not able to meet her again. I've even began to doubt, will I ever meet her again?

Thurs...one more day to Friday which is another day to weekend.. Work is so freaking boring...Accrual, reversal, accrual, reversal, acc...........damn it just keeps going on and on. I'm doing the same shit everyday it's getting mental.

Met up with Marcus and Terrence after work. And they made me wait like 20 mins at the Newton Circus carpark. Zzzzzzz. Standing there like a stone praying it won't rain on me.

It's getting a little routine if you noticed. I met them last thurs and fri for dinner too haha. Anyway we kinda went to the different LV stores in town I think? Coz Marcus need to get a LV wallet for his gf. Damn this guy is willing to splurge. We went to the various outlets, DFS, Hilton and Taka and unfortunately the colour he wanted was sold out. I realise something, this is not even the shopping or sale season but LV is still packed with people. Freak, are these people rich or are they just buying LV stuff with 80% of their pay?

Eventually we had our dinner Sakae Sushi at Wheelock place. Not too bad la, although I would prefer Ichiban Boshi or Sushi Teh anytime. It's just that Sakae has 10% discount for DBS/POSB card holders. Been a week since I last hit the gym. Getting lazy already. Better start swimming soon too. Seriously need to lose weight..and fats...

Nothing much fanciful today. Since 14th Jan I have been drafting these blog posts in my office. I have to do something else on the computer instead of excel whole day to prevent myself from dozing off. BUT there’s no internet connection, no games. NOTHING! I have access to Microsoft Office though. -_- So I decided to draft my posts, save them in my thumb drive and upload them when I get home.

Weekends pass by so quickly. Before you know it, it’s Monday blues again. As if Monday wasn’t bad enough, there was a train disruption between Pasir Ris and Tanah Merah. So I had to take a SMRT bus to Tanah Merah to catch the train. I guess someone might have jumped onto the tracks again. It took the bus 1 hr to reach Tanah Merah. Why so? It is because the bus went to Tampines for some weird reason. Anyway this whole saga made me an hour late for work. Luckily no one asked me anything. Anyway back to about work, my current work really bores me to death. I have to use excel for the whole day, 5 days a week. There is no internet connection, which makes life even more miserable. I’m sure my efficiency will be improve tremendously when there’s internet available to keep my mind active.

Managed to clear up some stuff today, but still no decision. She wants a decision that comes from both of us. But both of us have different views. How? I don’t know.

Same thing occurred again last night. Feeling rather tired and stone and I ended up sleeping more than half a day away.

Slept till early afternoon before I decided it was time to get out of bed. For the first half of the day I was just slacking at home. Later in the night it was Janessa’s 21st birthday party at her place. Met up with Kexian, his girlfriend and Colin aka zhang. It was great meeting them again. They were my close pals in secondary school and chatting with them is always a fun thing to do. It was not the first time I saw Kexian’s girlfriend, and I was quite surprised that she is the kind of ‘sassy’ girl if you know what I mean. Seeing them happily together as a couple made me feel happy for them, and also envious of such a relationship.

After the party I headed to Kc’s place to catch Man Utd against Reading, and also had a chance to play assassin’s creed on his PS3. How I wish I too have a LCD tv and a ps3. An avid gamer since young, I wished I can afford them. What I can do now is to forget about them and get on with life. Hopefully my interest in gaming will die off in the near future…

Finally it’s Friday! Will be knocking off at 1730 hours today. Finally I have a chance to wake up late. During this so-called holiday, I didn’t really have many chances to wake up late. Before I started this current job, I was busy working my ass off at my uncle’s clinic, even on Saturdays and Sundays. I’m quite amazed at how I wake up at 7am now, when I was sleeping at around 5-6am in Sydney.

Met up with Terrence and Marcus again. Marcus picked me up from work and we headed straight to town as Terrence said he had an appointment to attend, and will meet us in a ‘short while’. True enough he only managed to meet us at around 8pm for dinner at Food Republic Wisma. We don’t call him the ‘Late King’ for nothing. Prior to that, I bought one shirt and a pair of pants for only $52. Quite a good deal I think, all thanks to the 70% sale at G2000. I spotted this gorgeous tote bag from Porter. The original price is $310, after a 15% discount it will be $270. I was so tempted that I almost bought the bag on the spot. Thankfully I was rational enough to realize that a bag was not on the top of my priority shopping list. Yup I have already drafted a list of items to buy for the coming Chinese New Year. It will be posted on the left side of the blog <---

One more day to weekend. Can’t wait…Work had been so boring and certain issues just keep popping up in my mind. Met up with Marcus and Terrence for dinner at Hans’ in Marina Square.
Think I saw Jenn, but she looks different. I forgot she got a twin sister. Haha...

2nd day at work. Still fighting the Zzz monster. It’s just hard to keep staring at the computer all day long, especially when it’s excel and there’s no internet access.

Today’s my first day at work. Had to drag myself out of bed at 7am sharp. That was a freaking dreadful feeling, and to think that I’m going to experience this for the next one month or so. Location of workplace isn’t that convenient also. Rather than the usual suspects like Raffles Place or Tanjong Pagar, or my previous workplace Parkway Parade, the office is now located beside Newton MRT. This means that I would have to change a train at City Hall…argh! If it was Orchard then maybe not that bad coz Orchard is kinda more ‘happening’ compared to Newton. I can always go shop around during lunch time.

Feel like quitting on the first day already oh my…this is crap!

Booooo...Wordpress didn't turn out that friendly afterall. It only has ONE....1 function that I want to use, which is 'post locking'. This enables you to lock a particular post, especially when you do not want everyone to see it..only those with password provided will be granted viewing. Other than that, yucks, seems so hard to use...I wonder why Serene switched to Wordpress. LOL!

Well, maybe meantime I will use Wordpress as a place to write my innermost feelings and thoughts, while blogspot will be a brighter, more optimistic place to be in. Wordpress-Hell, Blogspot-Heaven. I hope I don't develop a split personality after this.

As of now, I'm still jobless. There were a couple of jobs available but unfortunately I wasn't shortlisted. Highest pay was $1,700. It just keeps decreasing. $1,500...$1,300...and $7 an hr. Well, my kind Aunt offered me to work full time at the clinic though, at $7 an hr. I calculated, I earn roughly $50 a day, and $30 during weekends. That would be about $1,180 a month. Not too bad I thought. Will consider her offer. By the time I got a job offer from Recruit Express, I might already be on the flight back to Sydney.

December's coming to an end, I hate it. Time in Singapore is getting shorter and shorter. Haven't spent much time with my close friends I thought. You know why. Argh...

Cousin Hau left for Brisbane today, my family and I sent him to the airport and had dinner at Sakae Sushi. I hope he enjoyed his stay here, will definitely miss him and look forward to his visiting next year. Thrifty he may be, he never fail to pay for my expenses whenever we went out together. His reason being he's working and thus he can pay for them. Really grateful to him for that, hopefully it will soon be my turn to take on that role. In 2-3 years time at least. Hahaha....

Bro got a job already and will commence next month. It's really good news and hopefully he will be a high flyer so I won't have difficulty in looking for jobs. LOL~ I'm not that lucky though, still yet to receive any job offers. Damn bad...gotta look around other job agencies asap I guess. How I wish I don't need to work, no choice I guess. In life, there are many things that you have no choice in. So what should you do? I don't know actually, try to be optimistic I guess.

This week was rather dull. Except for Monday which I managed to meet up with her for dinner. Worked earlier in the morning, and had lunch with Professor Ding and some of my uni friends at Glass House Fish n Co. After that I was wandering around in town looking for a gift that I can buy for her. Luckily Vanessa was around to accompany me for some time. Bought her a handphone chain from Agnes b. No particular occasion though, but thought that the gift will cheer her up a little from the horrendous work she is experiencing. Bought her mom chocolates from Royce, a belated birthday gift. Hopefully both of them will like their presents.

X'mas is just around the corner. I really wish for something special this year. All I want for christmas....

Alritey shall back track abit, to the final day of my exams which is the 22nd Nov thursday. KC, Yusheng and I decided to rent a car coz we will be heading down to DFO (Direct Factory Outlet). They came to pick me up from the racecourse. They arrived like ten minutes before I finish my paper, and were standing outside the room looking at me. When I saw them I gave them 2 thumbs up! A few students throwed weird looks at me -_- Hahahaha...

We headed to DFO shortly after my paper, but sadly I do not have any photos to post. I have yet to get them from KC. We didn't do much shopping coz there ain't much nice clothes left on display. So saddening, we came at a wrong time I think. After that we went Bondi Junction to shop around, and not much shopping was done too. Quite disappointed with our shopping cart, we headed to Bondi Beach for Sagar's farewell dinner.

Too early and extremely hungry, we decided to share a Mcnuggets meal before the actual dinner. Lolz... The dinner was at the famous Hurricanes Restaurant. I have the pics for this. Yea!

Yea yea haven't been updating my blog again. What's new...The last time I've updated, I was still in Sydney, and tada!!! now I'm back in Singapore. Exams were long over, and the results even came out today. Wasn't too satisfied with the results I got but what the hell...I think it was due to the time spent on adjusting to Sydney that caused it.

So we left Sydney on the 24th Nov, on board the A380 back to Singapore.

Many have asked how different is the A380 from the usual 747s...Well basically A380 is just bigger, has much more legroom for economy class (which is extremely important for poor pple like me), larger lcd screen and the controller is fitted below the lcd screen instead of in the armrest. That is important too coz you will no longer 'hit' the controller accidentally with ur hips or bums or whatever.

Hmm till now I have only met a few of my marist and jc friends. Spent most of my time accompanying my cousin from Brisbane till I got sick this few days. 1st it was flu that came and left on several occasions, then was the sore throat that luckily did not stay long, and the everlasting dry cough. Been coughing quite badly till I feel like my stomach's gonna pop out.

Only met up with her twice so far. Don't ask me how's things. I don't even know where I am. =/ I'm trying..

3 papers down, 1 more to go. This has been one dreadful week. With only 1 paper left and a full week to revise, I have too much time to be honest. If I can study efficiently I will definitely be able to score for this paper. But the problem is the drive to study is no longer there. With the date of departure for home sweet home just around the corner, it's really hard to concentrate on revising.

ARGH!!! So near yet so far. This is so frustrating...-_-

There I go again! Neglecting my blog coz I'm too busy/lazy/whatever. Anyway to cut the story short, I had my first final paper today. 2 more the following week. And a final one the week after. The last paper will be on the 22nd Nov and I will be flying back on the 24th Nov!!!

Finally huh? Yea..finally...I thought to myself. Soon, it will be ByeBye Sydney, HiHi Singapore.

School life resumes today...damn zzz. On the way to school I had to avoid spiders hanging down from trees. I hate spring coz the bugs seem to be having their holidays, and damn the bloody moths that invade my apartment! Anyway I had a rather enjoyable mid term break, though the study plan didn't really work out that well.

22nd Sept '07, Saturday. Kai Chung, Yu Sheng and me went to city together.

We had dinner at this zi char stall in chinatown. It's so nice that I think it's our third or fourth visit there.


We normally order 3 dishes. Cost us around $28-$29.


Satisfied customers. Haha.


After dinner we took a walk to darling harbour to have dessert at Lindt Cafe. It is famous for its chocolate. The macarons there are almost similar to the ones sold in Paragon.


The ambience is just too nice. Great to just chill there, not thinking about school work...

24th September'07, we went to have lunch at Doncaster Hotel. The lunch we had costs us only $10 each. You choose the meat that you want, and you get to bbq it yourself, adding sauce of your liking. There is also a buffet salad bar available though the selection isn't that wide.

Quite cool bbq-ing on such a big surface.

$10 is really worth it as the ambience is rather nice too.

After lunch we went to walk around our estate for the FIRST time. Apparently our estate is something like the Bukit Timah of Singapore. It's the place for the rich (not us of coz as we are only renting the place!), and there's quite a handful of beautiful houses in the estate. Thinking back we really made a good decision in renting this apartment although it's quite far from the school if we choose to walk (25 mins). Will post outings about the other days soon.
