Nothing much to update about life in down under. Everyday it's school, home, tutorials, revision, meals and sleep. Monotonous yes. So far I've only been to town once and I guess the next visit will be during my mid semester break which is at the end of September. Why? Simply coz I have freaking exams every week all the way till the end of September. Not to mention plenty of project work to catch up on. Cheers to that.

I will try to post as often as I can la. Although I doubt I will have anything to update you guys about (unless you want to know what's going on in my revision). Here are some photos I took on the day I came back to syd.

I was sitting at the upper deck, with the business class right in front of us. As you can see, they have special coloured lights that change gradually over time when the plane is about to land. Its quite pretty and cool so I thought I should take a photo of it.

Inside a cab, on my way home.

Home not-so-sweet Home. =/

Preparing for school at 10am. -_-

2nd August 2008

Met up with Daniel, Mark and Shiwei for a game of tennis over at seletar country club. Damn the sun was so hot that I felt so lethargic just after 45 minutes. We had good a exercise and there was a couple of great rallies too. After the session, we adjourned to the usual bistro restaurant to have our delicious food. A pity the camera's in sw's car. We ordered quite a bit of food. Each of us had a main, I think there was beef noodle soup, fried hor fun with beef, carrot cake and penang char kway teow. Besides the mains, we had our usual watermelon juice, fried chicken wings and soft shell crab with floss. Stomach felt like exploding after consuming such a great amount of good food. Damn I like coming to seletar cc.

Soon after, Daniel went home for his family gathering and we left for sw's house to bathe. Later, we picked Zhida up and went to Chomp Chomp @ Serangoon Gardens to tabao Alllllllllllll the local delights to bring to sentosa. We thought Alex should be craving for all the local delights. We bought alot, I mean alot of food. Imagine we spent $101 on hawker food. There were satays, satay bee hoon, char kway teow, stingray, rojak, sugarcane, chicken wings, or lua etc etc.

After dinner, we decided to play some poker. Afterall, all the marists are gamblers by nature. Hohoho! Daniel joined us later in the night after his family gathering. At the end of the day, I won about $30+, woooots. Not alot but still it's money haha.

Leaving Sg...

Just taking some time off my hectic uni work schedule to do a lil updating on my blog. Actually there's quite a bit of pictures and outings to post, but it's a little tedious to put everything up. I guess I will just post those events in a non-chronological order.

4th August 2008, the dreadful day has arrived, yet again. Delayed my flight from the 3rd to 4th, coz on Monday morning there was a praying session for ah gong. Morning went to the temple at around 0530 to prepare the stuffs for prayers, and the whole session lasted till about 0700. Went back home to catch up on my sleep, and in the afternoon went to clementi for lunch with dad, and got my text from the clementi bookstore as well. It was kinda last minute, so a couple of texts were out of stock. Tough luck...

Went to pick up mom from work (and Khloe too), back home to finish up on packing and we were off to terminal 3. Such a sickening feeling to be leaving again. Parents and Khloe couldn't stay long with me at the airport coz mom had night shift (very selfish colleagues who don't lend any helping hand), so they just accompanied me for a while before leaving. Bro and Ade came from work to accompany me for dinner though, and we had it at TCC. Food was pretty good, but my appetite was obviously not that good afterall. Soon it was time to say goodbye, and I actually forgot to wave goodbye while I was at the immigration checkpoint. LOL. Think I was quite stoned already...

Supposed to be...

This blog is supposed to be updated frequently (think eurotrip and outings in sg), with stories and pictures depicting my life. However, lately, I'm just overwhelmed by the enormous amount of workload thrown straight at me from my lovely university. When I thought uni workload couldn't be more than the previous semesters, this semester just got worse. It's only week 3 now, and I cannot fathom how this is gonna last till week 12. I'm not going into the details of how stressful it is, as most of my friends would have known by now.

Now, there is a dilemma that I'm facing. To drop a module from my current four to three, and concentrate on the other 3. Or to simply try to attempt all 4 at one go. Both has its pros and cons of course.

Drop Module:
Pros are less workload, less stress, able to concentrate on just 3 modules and higher chance of scoring better grades.
Cons are I still have to take it next semester, making it a possibly stressful semester like the current one, I will also have 7 modules next year, so it's gonna be 4 in the first sem, and 3 in the second sem.

Holding on:
Pros are if I manage to pass all 4, I will have a relatively relax last year of uni come 2009, as mentioned earlier, I will only be left with 6 modules for the year of 2009.
Cons are workload as bad as now, may increase in the weeks to come, high chance of scoring mediocre results, worst scenario is failing any modules.

Date of decision has to be before the 31st of August. I will get back my money for a module if I choose to drop. 2 more weeks to decide......

Uni life is supposed to be fun and exciting. There is supposed to be a fair balance of work and play. Going overseas to study is supposed to be fun. It's supposed to be less stressful according to 'knowledgable singaporeans'. Everything in life seems "supposed to be", but in reality it seems not to be.

Looking forward to a better tomorrow.
